The brief was to make an artist book that would tell a story about me or my family. I decided to collect hair from my family members and create a scroll wrapped on a hairbrush. The idea behind this was that since hair is a strand of DNA, it contains the story of each individual. Thus, compiling hair from my family not only tells the story of my immediate family, but also of my ancestors. To illustrate this concept, I used hair extensions.
