The Crystal Goblet
Expressive Form
I chose Futura, one of Vignelli's six favorite fonts, and investigated it by creating 100 unique typographic experiments. The aim was to explore the fundamentals of composition. Each composition could consist only of a single letter form, without any repetition or duplication, and had to be 100% black and white. I then designed a publication featuring 50 of my experiments and typeset it with Beatrice Warde's essay, "The Crystal Goblet".
